T he National Restaurant Association’s annual event to support the work of its Restaurant Advocacy Fund resulted in raising nearly $593,000. The Richard E. Marriott Restaurant Advocacy Fund Golf Invitational, conducted this fall in Palm Beach, represents one of the restaurant industry’s premier events and brings together CEOs and senior-level executives from chain multi-unit, as well as independent restaurant companies of all sizes.
Known as the group’s largest fundraiser, the event enables NRA to advocate on behalf of its members on issues such as responsible changes to the health care law, fair tax rates, immigration reform, food safety and other important public policy concerns at both the state and federal levels.
Since its inception, the Restaurant Advocacy Fund has raised more than $7 million to protect the industry from anti-business legislative and regulatory activities.
