Dunkin’ Donuts signed multi-unit store development agreements with HT2 Franchising, LLC for nine restaurants in Reno, Nev., three franchise groups to develop 12 restaurants in Detroit, and JP Foods, LLC to develop a dozen new restaurants in Memphis.
McAlister’s Deli will develop 24 restaurants in Texas, New Mexico, Idaho and Utah as part of a new multi-unit development agreement with franchisee Southwest Deli.
Pie Five Pizza awarded 10 franchise units to Rich Davis and Ron Payne, who will introduce the brand to the Nashville area.
Smoothie King has agreed to develop 28 locations with eight franchisees in U.S. markets, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Jackson, Miss., New Haven, Conn., Sarasota and Tallahassee, Fla. and Wichita, a total of more than 100 locations sold in 2013.
TeamLogic IT Woburn, which is experiencing a growth rate of 45 percent over the past year, expanded its offices in 5,000 square feet at the Office Tower Park building in Woburn, Mass. The company is owned by father-son team Jim and Andy Hackett.
Togo’s Eateries signed development agreements with several new and existing franchisees to expand across California, including in El Centro, Los Angeles, Petaluma, Riverbank, Sacramento, San Jose and Santa Cruz.
Wingstop, which recently celebrated its 600th restaurant opening, generated an 8.6 percent increase in same-store sales July through September and opened 16 restaurants. For the year, same-store sales growth is 10.6 percent.

Anytime Fitness CEO and Co-founder Chuck Runyon was presented an inaugural “Leadership” award by Chief Executive magazine. The award celebrates firms that had superior growth relative to their industries, as well as companies with innovative products, compelling leaders, unusual practices/business models or an ability to leverage assets in uncommon ways.
BrightStar Care received The Joint Commission’s Enterprise Champion for Quality Award for 2013. The Joint Commission, a nationally recognized health care quality standards organization that also accredits hospitals and other health care systems, acknowledged BrightStar Care’s efforts to promote high quality health care services by its franchises through Joint Commission accreditation.
Cheng Cohen earned Tier 1 “Best Law Firms” Recognition for Franchise Law Excellence in U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers.

Ram Jack received general approval from the Los Angeles Dept. of Building and Safety for technical modifications of home and commercial foundations using proprietary helical pile and hydraulically driven steel piling foundation systems. The company is the first to receive accreditation from the Los Angeles Research Report to use steel pilings for foundation repairs in the city.
